Colonizer 05:23
Colonizer Hordes of men walking They trail the stars Their sons and their daughters shipped off to Mars The suns fading embers appear in the sky The final man standing He’s left earthly light And he waves at the sun With a tear in his eye His spacecraft adrift in the night The future has never looked so bright Singular conscious Has wired the stars The nerves center humming With dreams from afar One thoughts a lifetime Alone in the night The universe breathing He enters the light And he waves at the moon With a grin in his eye His spacecraft adrift in the night The future has never looked so bright And if there’s no turning back And if your mind forgets the past And if your ship implodes I’ll see you on the path He looks into the eyes of the monitor screen The chosen one smiles and awaits his seed Four years on a journey to the sacred land The colony awaits with a master plan His journey completed He’s home safe and sound In the arms of the chosen one The colony found His conscience uploaded They map out his genes The program receiver decodes his seed And he waves at the sun With a tear in his eye His spacecraft adrift in the night The future has never looked so bright

Refugee 04:00
Refugee I hear your lost words Coming from the sea I hear your lost words Crumbling next to me The bitter lies A tender heart The lonesome dove among the stars I see a vision dancing in my mind That long before a civil war The people here longed for distant shores To call their own a land of peace Their message sent across the sea On the deep blue sea On the deep blue sea Is where I long to be I see the loneliness of life When I look into your eyes I know you’re on the run Don’t act so surprised I see a white dove in the night It’s wings are spread in golden light The city burns, the babies weep The shots are heard and the blood runs deep Their comes a time in all mans hearts Where hatred shouts among the stars Let’s join our hands and prey for peace And bow our heads to those who speak On the deep blue sea On the deep blue sea Is where I long to be I see a mountain to climb I see a bridge to build I see a river to cross And I know that loves not lost Don’t you think it’s time we enter To the golden light above Join our hands and climb together Shelter us from all the harm the leads us down the river of change The river of change Break the chains I hear your lost words Coming from the sea I hear your lost words Crumbling next to me

Generations I hear the angels calling for you Their trumpets blowing in a fog of blue No rhyme or reason lends a meaning or a clue For those who’s sorrows come unglued Seven generations holds the promise of the truth Told through the words of Crazy Horse On that hill he saw destruction And a pact that’s ripped and torn Buried in the land where he was born They say that Buddha practiced Dharma in the park A quite place for deer to run free in the dark Your spirit joins them as you search for higher ground Your memory lingers in the freedom that you found Seven generations holds the promise of the truth Told through the words of Crazy Horse On that hill he saw destruction And a pact thats ripped and torn Buried in the land where he was born All love has a fire All love has a flame All dreams have an ending When our spirits fade away I hear the angels calling for you Their trumpets blowing in a fog of blue No rhyme or reason lends a meaning or a clue For the white dove whose life ended on the truth

Venus 03:24
Venus Venus play her cards close to her heart She leads me on with gestures Laughed at by the kings in their court Misty eyes of blue she beckons for the golden pastures Left to men who toil their soil of broken dreams Plastic people Sexy brains They hide out in the park Little people kneel before them Candles in the dark Venus is my savior Lost like a sailor Sailing in the moonlight A shipwreck in the daylight Staring at the sun my third eye burns a hole into my conscience Left to sway the rumors of the king Sleeping in the meadow is a lark that sings without a purpose Lost before his mate in the court Plastic people Sexy brains They hide out in the park Little people kneel before them Candles in the dark Venus is my savior Lost like a sailor Sailing in the moonlight A shipwreck in the daylight Venus is my savior Venus is my savior Looking at a pool of water Lost inside their acts of wisdom Smiling tat the waves that hide their souls Minutes turn to hours and to days Where the skin falls from their flesh Into the pool of empty dreams Venus is my savior Lost like a sailor Sailing in the moonlight A shipwreck in the daylight Plastic people Sexy brains They hide out in the park Little people kneel before them Candles in the dark Venus is my savior

The Actor 04:19
The Actor I am just a man Who lost his way I see things differently I miss the stage There is not a word That comes to mind It’s more a feeling Of passing time The actor soldiers on In a hidden light The curtain hides his darkness Of his fight Where the words of others Fill his loving cup The whisper of a dream His running luck All the worlds a stage So they say The morning light I miss the day And the scripts a bore The play is tame Where is the light That shines our way The actor soldiers on In a hidden light The curtain hides his darkness Of his fight Where the words of others Fill his loving cup The whisper of a dream His running luck I watch the show Behind four walls The voice I hear Is a different call The search is off And the curtains raised The show is over And no one’s paid The actor soldiers on In a hidden light The curtain hides his darkness Of his fight Where the words of others Fill his loving cup The whisper of a dream His running luck

Memory in Time What will we find When we search for Dreams beyond the sky Who will will see beyond the rainbow When we kiss the sky Baffled kings Lonely queens Lost in light Fading dreams Lost in tree’s Sunlight days go by Who will we call In the darkness When we look to the stars Into the pool of the universe We cast our shadows high Baffled kings Lonely queens Lost in light Fading dreams Lost in tree’s Sunlight days go by Let there be light Let there be dark We’ll enter the light And enter your heart Where do we go Into the moonlight Beyond the stars in the SKYWho are we here Nothing but matter In the memory of time

about

Ever felt like an outsider, alienated from life? Wondered how you might feel if chosen to colonize Mars? Been forced to cross an ocean in a raft, fleeing your war-torn country?

These scenarios represent only a few of the themes that comprise the socially conscious concept album "Space and Other Things” by Gary, Indiana singer-songwriter, Scot Sier.

Written from 2017-2021, the album came together in the humble roots of Sier's garage studio in Los Angeles. The result is a DIY eight-song opus that bridges the worlds of classical/world/jazz and rock music for a prescient and timely listening experience.

In it, you hear a veteran songwriter advancing their artistic powers - The urban biographical “Indiana”, the shapeshifting sonic pop lushness of “Heads Or Tales”, the anxiety driven futurism of “Space And Other Things” all coalesced into a unique one-of-a-kind work of art that reveals something new in each listen.

"It's a cosmic, proggy plethora of 70's sounds with a message I think you will dig."
